One thing for sure is that we always have to go to the toilet. I love camping and the outdoors and can tell you that in the 20 or so years I have been doing it there are many toilet tales to be told. But I shall keep those to myself just now and maybe let you hear about them in other articles I pen. But one thing that has come from all those toilet tales is that now I have my own camping toilet. I never leave for a trip without it and to ensure that I have peace, quiet and privacy I also have my own toilet tent in which to place it.
Whenever you go camping you really have no idea how good the facilities actually are in the site that you pitch. Yes the brochures or web sites tell you that the site is the best in the world and all facilities are top notch. Well the older you get, the wiser you become I think and just don't believe everything that you read. And how many times have you been to a site only to realise that you must have been reading the wrong brochure?
To cut a long story short not all facilities are up to scratch in camp sites, so it's best to be self sufficient I reckon. If you have a toilet tent you can pitch it not so far away from your main tent and always know where it is. Especially if you have kids this is very useful piece of equipment to have. Even if you don't have kids it's ideal for you. No more tramping around campsites in the middle of the night trying to find the toilet, if in fact there are toilets! There is not so much to say about the toilet tent however, as basically it is just a smaller version of your main tent and operates in the same way. They are not expensive to buy, easy to pitch and make camping life so much more enjoyable. For those of you that do not own one, then it's time you rectified that.
